ABOUT US
My name is Rebecca Vannette, I was born and raised in Hudsonville Michigan, and moved with my family to South Carolina in September of 2015 along with a cat and two dogs.
The first Golden Retriever we had was when I was a baby, her name was Sandy May. I was one when we got her, and I grew up with her, loving to throw sticks, and run around the yard with her. She bonded the most with my Grandpa who lived with us. She was a great dog, and we had her for twelve years nine months before she slipped away in her sleep. After she died we really wanted to get another golden retriever, so we went to the same breeder we had gotten Sandy from, and they had a batch of eight week old puppies ready for new homes, and that is when we got my Honey May. Honey May was Sandy’s great niece, and she is just as great a dog. When I stuck my arms into the pen full of puppies, all the puppies were jumping up trying to get me to pet them, but Honey jumped up and held onto my arm with her little paws, looking into my eyes, and I knew she was the puppy for us, and just to convince the rest of the family she licked Grandpa’s face something he had always tried to get Sandy to do. So we got her, and my life hasn’t been the same since.

My sister and I trained her, and by nine weeks old she already knew sit and lay down, and was learning leave it. By a year old I knew she was going to be my special pup, just like Sandy bonded to my Grandpa, Honey bonded to me. I knew when we got her that I wanted to breed golden retrievers, so I started studying. I wanted to breed her in 2014, but a lot was happening in my life right then, and I knew I would not have the time to spend on puppies, so I waited. By time her next heat came we were getting our house ready to sell, and then we moved here.
So here we are 2017, and my Honey May is going to be a mamma. I have studied, and researched for nearly five years, before doing this, and now it’s like a dream come true.
